My Morning - Blog Post 1

This is our 3rd week in virtual school so our schedule has changed a bit. 7AM is our wake up call, 8:30AM we're back upstairs in the computer room were Yum Yum does her virtual school.

"Mommy can you come here?"... hold on I have to run upstairs I'll be back...

[Alright, I'm back. This is my morning blog.]

I get up at bout 6AM, take some time for myself, pick out an outfit and really use the next hour for me. By 7AM my day starts and once everyone else is up my day flows until bedtime. I like to get a head start.

By 7AM I know it's time to take our puppy Chocolate Power outside to use the bathroom. The puppy is like clock work now, he knows when it's time to go. Yesterday he was upstairs by 6:45AM jumping on my daughter Yum Yum to take him out. So today I beat him to it. I grab the leash and take Chocolate Power outside, Georgia has been having very beautiful mornings. You can tell fall is coming because outside is warm with a little cool breeze. Our yard is perfect scenery, we have nothing but beautiful trees so the view is both enjoyable and relaxing.

Chocolate Power and I walk toward the flower garden. I like to check on my flowers, it's so beautiful because the butterflies start to come one by one. Chocolate Power usually sniffs the flowers or takes a bite out of one. This morning he went right by the flowers and walked through my pumpkin patch [I'm trying to grow a 120 pound pumpkin, I'll let you know how that goes]. As soon as I can say no, his puppy prints were all through the patch. I planted the seeds a few days ago, so those pumpkins are my new babies. I check on the pumpkin soil to make sure it's good. I notice a few sprouts were growing where my pumpkin seeds were planted. Wait, I know it couldn't have been pumpkins. I look closer and it's onions, green onions sprouting up. Back story [ A few days ago I rearranged my raised garden, the soil wasn't getting proper drainage which caused all of my veggies to eathier die or not grow. I also reused the soil once I moved it. So I was more than surprised to see I actually had veggies coming through. I guess roots never die.] My flower garden now has flowers and  now maybe some veggies popping up here and there. It will be interesting to see what actually grows. Will it be flowers, pumpkins, and veggies or just flowers? By the way the new position of the raised bed is getting an even amount of drainage.

Hold on.... Yum Yum is on break...

I'm back, Chocolate Power ran outside during the break, found some water, along with Georgia clay.  I started writing this post shortly after 9AM when Yum Yum was good to go with her school day.

Alright so after I take Chocolate Power out it's time for breakfast. Breakfast today is Pancakes with Peach Covered toppings. I made that up about 5 minutes ago. Looked in the fridge seen that we had no eggs or bacon. Looked in the freezer seen the peaches, knew I had pancake mix, so that's how breakfast went down today.

Breakfast is done, and Yum Yum comes downstairs. I gave her OJ to go with her breakfast. While she eats I get Chocolate Power's bowl of food ready. While breakfast is going on I go upstairs to finish getting dress, and make sure both of Yum Yum's laptops are charged and ready to go for the day.

Chocolate Power must have finished  eating because shortly after I hear his puppy feet running up the stairs to find me. Backstory [Chocolate Power is a new puppy, well 20 weeks we got him at 8 weeks. For now we would like for him to stay downstairs until he's fully potty trained.] I run him back downstairs, but he refuses to stay. Imagine this happening all morning. It's so funny because by the time lunch comes around Chocolate Power is sleep and tired downstairs. I also think he has to get use to our new routine. Before Yum Yum started school our family spent our time %100 downstairs. Now we're upstairs more than down

The rest of my morning goes like this...

I'm trying to keep Chocolate Power downstairs, while Yum Yum is calling me upstairs to help her log in to an app, or zoom, here comes Chocolate Power running behind me into Yum Yum's school room, him wondering around under the table discovering new pencil sticks, and me trying to keep it all balanced while saying "Chocolate Power downstairs, Yum Yum grab that notebook, write this down...". To sum it all up our mornings are quite eventful and full of energy. I'll let you know how my morning goes tomorrow. I'll post it here on my blog. If you're wondering how come I just don't stay upstairs and put Chocolate Power in the crate, well he's a puppy with a loud bark and school is happening upstairs not too far away.

Are you ready for virtual school, and a new puppy? OR Anyone else have eventful mornings now that school has started back? Comment would love to hear about it.

Okay, my husband is up now. He came downstairs, Chocolate Power got excited and there goes that... I'll catch up with ya'll tomorrow morning on my next blog post.
